Vicente: Making a Lifestyle Change

Vicente is incredibly fun to watch during classes at CrossFit Eminence – he is so quick on his feet! And as he continued through our 12-week Nutrition Challenge, he started absolutely killing his workouts in the gym. His progress was amazing, and he lost a total of 14 pounds. Vicente consistently attended CrossFit classes, and you could see him exploding out of the gate, obtaining new personal records (PRs) on all his lifts, and earned his way to the top of the leaderboard for many workouts. On Memorial Day, our CrossFit community has a tradition of completing the workout, “Murph.” The workout consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 200 air squats, followed by another 1-mile run. Vicente completed this incredibly difficult workout with a 20-pound vest (it was the first time that he completed it with a weight vest) – and he finished in just 42 minutes!! Congratulations, Vicente on your successful nutrition journey, and we’ll see you in the gym!

A lifestyle change

In the beginning when I started the diet it was very difficult, as I had to change my whole nutritional lifestyle. I was eating fast food 1-2 times a day due to my fast-paced, driving everywhere, job. The first week of the challenge was kind of confusing, as I had to learn how to measure food – and wasn’t sure if I was doing it right. The in-person meetings with the other participants of the challenge, also helped me a whole bunch. We shared ideas on what foods to make, and I was able to change it up a little. And it also motivated me to keep going, as I wasn’t alone on this journey. Now that we’re almost at the end of the journey, all I can say is that I feel great and I’m super happy I did it! I don’t think about the way I eat as a “diet” as much, but more as a lifestyle now.

HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least two (2) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
